GOD IS OUR SUPPLY

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. This is the first commandment and a very potent spiritual truth. Somewhere else in the old testament it says that God is a jealous God. I think that man often interprets or visualizes God with a human form and human traits, emotions and failings. But God is Spirit ...the Creator of the universe and I believe the Creator is way beyond human emotions. God is Love.... but it is a Spiritual Love and not a love that involves human fears and insecutities such as jealousy. At this point, my sense of it all is that there is really one Mind or Conciousness and that is the consiousness that created the universe. Because we are part of the creation, we are part of this conciousness.

Referring to God, the Bible says that we live and move and have our Being within God. God/Spirit fills all space...is all wise and all knowing. Because we are that meshed with God, we don't have to go anywhere to find God. Some like to say God is within us. I don't think this means literally that  God is contained in a physical body. How can infinite Spirit be contained in such a manner? I do think it means that that if we are still and go within...and listen..."Be still and KNOW that I am God"...that we will have access to all we need. This can mean....access to right ideas and access to "supply" in whatever form we need it. This doesn't mean that we are GOD but that we have access to and can express all the GOOD that God is. As a child I was taught that my reason for Being is to express God's qualities which are spiritual qualities.

Many are observing ....as the article below brings up.....that the more we make gods out of money, sensuality, personalities (such as presidents, rock stars and other material human beings) and the more we trust in matter in general, the more we will find ourselves enslaved by matter. One by one our material props will fail us.... till we realize the truth of being that God is our supply. When we place our trust in personalities and governments, which are temporal and have human failings we are bound to suffer the natural consequences. This is not to say that we don't need food or money or housing but that by Trusting in God and seeking the real and eternal FIRST....ALL the rest shall be added unto us.

Genesis 47:13-27

RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH
SERVICE - STIMULUS SERMON
Genesis 47:13-27

I would love to give the Pastor of this
predominantly black church in   Virginia three cheers. This guy is obviously a leader.
Perhaps we should each decide who our
real leader is.....It is amazing to see
that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

---------------------------------------------------

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see
the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word.  Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will, to the 47th chapter of Genesis.  We'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.
Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?
....(reading)...
Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray.  So we see that
economic hard times fell upon Egypt , and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them.  And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built.  So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain.  And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.
So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their
livestock - their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey - to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.
But the famine wasn't over, was it?  So the next year, the people
came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land.  Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land?  Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh."  So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain.
What can we learn from this, brothers
and sisters?
That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider
in hard times only leads to slavery?  Yes.. That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?
Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters!  Thus Israel
settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen .  And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly."  God provided for His people, just as He always has!  They didn't end up giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions!  But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one.
We see the same thing happening today - the government today
wants to "share the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us.  It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind.  And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.
What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what
Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same.  And a lot of people like to call Mr.Obama a "Messiah," don't they?  Is he a Messiah?  A savior?  Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, "You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh"?
Well, I tell you this -
I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. OBAMA IS NO MESSIAH!  No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.  Bow with me in prayer, if you will...
Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.  We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people
of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.."
And Lord, we acknowledge
that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation.  We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.  Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government.
In God We Trust...

How To Gain True Wisdom

Before I share some beautiful verses from Proverbs (King James Version of the Bible), I'd like to include a definition of fear that many are not aware of. From The Reader's Digest Family Word Finder.....reverence, awe, reverential regard, wonder, esteem, deep respect. Often we have been taught to "fear" the Lord, in the sense of being afraid. My interpretation is more in line with The Digest's definition.

I like Joel Goldsmith's idea that when we pray to the Creator, our main purpose in doing so should be to gain wisdom, understanding and just for the sense of the loving gentle presence of God. When we feel this sense of stillness, assurance and calm, I believe we are then dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most High that is talked about in the 91st Psalm. The Bible says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL the rest shall be added unto you. In my own life I have found it to be true that when I seek God first....without thought of material gain....things just seem to go more smoothly and unfold before me without struggle. Instead of  worrying about or praying for material comfort or gain...contemplate these precious words from Proverbs.
Chapter 2, verses 1 through 12 and 20 through 22

" My son, if thou wilt recieve my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding (spiritual understanding); If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgement, and equity; yea, every good path.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee; To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from man that speaketh froward things;  That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.  But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it."

I would just like to add the emphasis that we must seek wisdom and knowledge and the presence of God...with a pure heart...with the right intentions. It's our sincere seeking that opens the channels of God's truth to flow into our acceptance or conciousness. The truth is always there waiting for us to realize it.

RECOGNIZING THE PRESENCE OF GOD

“Remember this– it is the recognition and acknowledgment of the presence of God that brings God into tangible evidence, manifestation, and expression."  Joel Goldsmith

JOY TO THE WORLD

The real spirit of Christmas is in our hearts. Commercialism can't take it away, Governments can't take it away. It's up to each and every one of us to express the spirit, Love and goodwill of Christmas. You don't have to be Christian....we can all share in the joys and wisdom of each others beliefs. However, this doesn't mean that we have to blend all religions into one watered down NWO ordained religion. We can still appreciate each others values and beliefs while retaining our own. And I do enjoy observing and feeling the basic similarities of the great religions of the world. It's certainly not the teachings of the great prophets which cause war. It is the manipulation of religion by leaders of governments that causes war.Instead of succumbing to fear, hate and revenge (which only brings more of the same)..we need to stand firmly with Love and wisdom and realize the ultimate powerlessness of evil.

JOY TO THE WORLD!

"Don't fight against evil but FEEL the Love which dissolves it!

Feel the joy expressed in the video below

A STORY OF SYNCHRONICITY

Free dictionary.com defines synchronicity as a coincidence of events that seem to be meaningfully related. Most of us experience synchronicities quite often but we either don't recognize them as such or we chalk them up to pure chance. But...once one begins to open up to the thought that there is a force, beyond our limited vision, which seems to be orchestrating our lives for good, then we begin to notice synchronicities unfolding before us everywhere.

I would like to share an experience I had which I am sure was beyond chance. See what you think.

When my children were young a very motherly divorced woman moved in across the street. My children and I would visit her and she would always invite the children to play on her antique pump organ. Several years later, after she passed on, her family wanted us to have the organ. For quite a few years I enjoyed playing old fashioned hymns and Christmas carols on this organ....with all it's sentimental memories. At one point we acquired new furniture and in order to make room for it I thought it was time to sell the organ. I felt that I had had my experience with it and now it was time for it to move on.

At this point I was sharing an antique store with some friends so it was convenient to bring the organ there to put it up for sale. After the organ had been in our store for about a month, a gentleman walked in one day to browse around. He had never been in the store before and was looking for any merchandise made by a specific company which had since gone out of business. As he was meandering around he noticed the organ and remarked as to how much it reminded him of the one he used to play as a child. He looked around a bit more and then he left.

The next day he was back and said that he wanted to buy the organ. He began to tell me more about the woman who used to let him play a similar organ as a child and that her name was Mrs. Morrison. My jaw dropped open and I said Mrs. Morrison!!!!!........This is her organ! Evidently Mrs. Morrison used to live in this man's town and then when she divorced she moved to my town. We were both overcome with amazement. It seemed to us that my time was up and that now it was his turn. He bought the organ and took it home.

Now whenever thought turns to that old pump organ, I sit back with a smile
